中國民族醫藥學會大數據與人工智能分會和藥用資源分會副會長，中國民族醫藥學會傣醫藥分會常務理事，中華中醫藥學會中藥毒理學與安全性研究分會和武漢市藥學會理事，擔任《Journal of Natural Products》、《phytochemistry》、《Bioorganic Chemistry》等10余種國際期刊的審稿專家。主要從事中藥及民族藥藥效物質基礎及新藥研發的研究，系統研究了三十余種中藥及民族藥物的化學成分和生物活性，從中分離鑒定了1500余個化合物，涉及萜類，生物堿，黃酮，苯丙素，甾體皂苷等多種結構類型，其中新天然產物400余個。主持和參與完成國家重大新藥創制、國家重點研發、國家自然科學基金、國家重點實驗室和各類省部級項目10余項。獲省部級科技獎勵2項，在國內外重要學術期刊上發表學術論文150余篇，其中SCI收錄70余篇，獲得中國發明專利8項和中藥創新藥1.1類臨床批件1項。
